Welcome to

Beth Machaseh Messianic

Congregation

Shalom!

“God is light; In him there is no darkness...”

[1 John 1:5]

My name is Emmanuel Tarohocker and I am the Congregational Leader of Beth Machaseh (“House of Refuge”), a Messianic Jewish Congregation.  Messianic Judaism, for those who have never heard of it, is a movement of Jews and non-Jews who are Torah-observant (that is, who practice Biblical Judaism) and who believe in Yeshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) as the promised Messiah for Israel, and the sole path of spiritual salvation for all people. There are hundreds of thousands of Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles all over the world. We serve those in the Southern New Jersey area.

Now just as our name suggest. we pride ourselves in being a place of refuge for all people, Jew and gentile alike. To us our name is not just a name but our calling, our identity and responsibility.

We strongly believe in creating and being a safe and comfortable community to

fellowship, to worship and to express our faith. We are only able to accomplish this by

passionately following two basic (but not exclusive) principles. To Love and to be

Transparent. The Torah and Messiah Yeshua both teach that our purpose is to love

God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love others as ourselves,

and in turn, we ourselves can be and will be loved. But, in order to love and be loved,

we must be transparent (open and true). Since the essence of God is Love, when we

as a community implement these two qualities. I believe, we truly become a House of Refuge.
